Jaisalmer lie in the middle of the Thar Desert is also known as the ‘Golden City’ was founded in 1156 by The Maharaja Jaisal Singh. This popular tourist spot is famous for its exuberant forts, beautiful sand dunes and magnificent architecture which are very unique to this region. This city hosts Desert Festivals in Jan-Feb every year and attracts tourist from all around the globe. Jaisalmer fort counts as one of the World's largest forts and you might need 2-3 days to cover this castle to its fullest. Numerous eateries offer French, Italian and local Indian cuisines.
